AAI
(Auburn Armature Inc),
a $40 million plus company, has been in business for 60+ years. We
employ 100 people and our main facilities are located in Auburn, New York.
AAI built a new, fully integrated 50,000 sq. ft. facility in early 1998.
In 2005 we opened another office in Syracuse and in 2007, opened a 25,000
sq. ft. warehouse and counter sales office in Binghamton. In the near
future we plan to open satellite facilities in the Rochester area as
well as Albany. We serve a market area
that extends north to Massena, NY, south to Scranton, PA, east to Albany,
NY and west to Buffalo, NY. We have evolved into a unique company, with
the capabilities of an electrical products distributor,
manufacturer, and service organization all rolled into one. We are a true
"From Power to Process" supplier of electrical products and
services. Our employees have over 650 years of combined experience in the
electrical equipment business. Our main areas of strength are:
Electrical Product Sales
We are specialists in providing electric motors, motor
controls, variable frequency drives, power distribution equipment,
transformers and plant automation equipment to industry, OEM's and
contractors. We also offer traditional wholesale electrical supply items
such as industrial lighting, wire, fittings, etc. Twenty inside sales
professionals and engineers use our extensive inventory to keep our
customers operating
Engineering Services
Our engineering staff provides application assistance
to help customers solve problems using the latest technology in AC
drives, programmable logic controllers and energy efficient (EPACT)
motors. Our UL 508 listed customization shop builds special subassemblies
for specific customers.
Apparatus Services
AAI now has the largest and most modern apparatus
repair facility in New York State. We are experts in the rewinding and
rebuilding of AC motors and DC motors, from a special servo motor to a
5000 HP induction motor. Our two repair shifts allow us to provide
emergency turnaround to our customers. Our apparatus Repair Shop
equipment includes 600 KVA AC testing through 4160 volts, 300 KVA DC
testing through 700 volts, 60 KVA core loss testing, 15,000 lb. precision balancing
capabilities, 20,000 lb. lifting capacity and a complete in-house
machine shop. AAI is UL certified to repair explosion proof motors. We
are also a factory authorized service and warranty center for all the
major motor manufacturers, including GE, Reliance, Baldor, USEM,
Marathon, Siemens, and Toshiba.
